About thirty minutes outside of Joshua Tree is a small town called Pioneer Town. When you arrive, It's like taking a step back in time or watching an old western movie.
This town held a special place in Alanna & Adam's hearts and knew it was the perfect spot to have their wedding.
Getting ready photos hold so many special moments..like the time spent with mom or dad, the excitement felt leading up to the ceremony, or all of the little details that come together individually to make the day so much more special. Some of my favorite moments during a wedding day are captured during this time. Alanna shared a sweet moment with her mom and also decided to have a first look with her bridesmaids after getting her dress on. I love how she chose to go with different colored bridesmaid dresses. Each dress was unique and had a different style. The colors complimented the desert tones so well.
Alanna and Adam had a first look that overlooked a desert valley full of large boulders. This moment allowed them some time together before they said 'I do, ' which was so beautiful.
Following, was a wedding ceremony held in the middle of Pioneer Town for an outdoor celebration. Absolute pure joy filled their friends and family's faces throughout the whole wedding ceremony. What was cool about the barn behind them, is that once the wedding ceremony finished, the doors opened and that is where the reception was held. While the guests were at cocktail hour, we got to explore the town a little bit. This time allowed us to get creative and take some bridal portraits before they entered their reception.
The party didn't end there. After the reception, we drove out to Garth's Boulder Gardens (@garthsbouldergardens) located in the middle of the desert. An experience I will never forget. The after-party featured performances by multiple DJs and a night full of dancing. Alanna and Adam's wedding was truly one of a kind and I loved every minute of it. It was an honor to be part of their special day.
